Child support is determined by a formula based on your income, the other parent’s income, and certain allowable expenses. Simply having more children with your new spouse doesn’t automatically qualify you for a reduction in child support. However, if you’re paying court-ordered support for other children, the child support formula may account for that, and you could potentially receive a reduction.
